Childrens Pastimes Today and Yesterday Kimmel Norwood Instructor Sharon Hanscom Composition I January 27, 2011 When my enkindles were children growing up in the 1950-60s they had mostly woody toys. They had toys that werent motorized. They did non have any computers or Internet. When they would chide in a car, there were no seatbelts. My mother rattling rode on a motorcycle for a 30 minute demand with her one-time(a) brother just holding onto the wooden seat intelligence had strapped to the back of the bike. Children pastimes straighta expressive style are very opposite from when my parents were children. Children straightaway have many new toys than in my parents time. They have the Internet, video games, cell phones, Ipods, and other electronic toys. intimately all toys for little kids are in just about way motorized and need to have batteries or to be charged. on that point are always televisions for children to watch. Several take are give j ust to kids. It wasnt like this in my fathers day. He and his brothers would spend hours outside pretending. erstwhile they were done with their chores, they were allowed to hurl free in the neighborhood and play games, ride rounds, and thresh about a football around. at that perspective was one time they actually lit a dramatics on fire term playing with matches! The children in from each one generation have different rules. When my father was a child in the 1950-60s he had to rehearse regular telephones to omen plate and let his parents realize where he was. Children had to be home by the time the highway lights turned on. Kids were also allowed to ride bicycles around town. There were no laws regarding helmets or other tutelary gear while doing close to dangerous things such as skateboarding. Even more than rules, children today have laws in place for their safety. No child under(a) 18 can ride his/her bicycle without a helmet. round town s have curfews for children under 18 or even! 16 years old.
